Dimensions are: Pixels, Inches, Centimeters, Milimetres, Points, Picas
Resolution is measured by the number of pixels per an area unit ( Pixel/Inches or Pixel/Centimeters)

In particular, how to create colorless background image or also known as transparent background image is the question of so many newcomers to Photoshop. So, how to create a transparent background image? Let’s begin with File Menu on Photoshop CC.
Step 1 : File Menu > New
It is quite simple, you can see the instructions with example that I’ll create a transparent background (colorless) image with the size of 1280×720 and resolution of 72px:

In Color Mode section, there are 3 options for you to choose:
– White: A white background imagine
– Background Color: You can customize the background color as you like.
– Transparent: Allow to create a colorless background image
Choose transparent background
Press Ok we have a transparent background.
